Sultan Murad IV
Sultan Murad IV, also known as "The Red Sultan," was a ruthless and powerful ruler of the Ottoman Empire during the 17th century. Born in 1612 to Sultan Ahmed I and his favorite wife, Kösem Sultan, Murad was raised in the luxurious palace of Topkapi in Istanbul. From a young age, he was trained in the art of warfare and politics, and he quickly proved himself to be a skilled military leader.
